"Wall hutch" is made of inexpensive soft particle board. The mounting requires screws to extend from the wall into the particle board to support it. The wood is so soft that the unit comes easily off the wall. Loaded with books it is hazardous.
We had a professional carpenter come to check and he agrees.

For the price the company could have charged 3 times the amount for this item. No nicks or scratches on this product. Excellent packaging. I love the look on my office wall. Nothing but compliments.

This is very sturdy. We are using two of these to replace a side server next to our dining set. We are adding mirrors to the back of each cubicle and installing two glass doors on the front of each shelving unit. We like that a marker, the same color as the wood, came with it for touch-ups. For once, all of the predrilled holes matched making assembly easy.

The Wall Hutch was exactly what I was looking for. It's perfect over my computer desk, not crowding my computer like my old attached bookcase top. The Wall Hutch is the perfect size and was very easy for my son to hang. I would highly recommend it.

It was a bit hard to find what I wanted because in my search I was asking for bookshelves.

All of a sudden this popped up.
