We've owned this table for four years now, and it works quite well in our galley kitchen.

The wood is a veneer, which has held up well enough, but it starting to show its age. The stools are also starting to get a little wobbly, but like I said... four years. It's done what we thought it would.

My only big complaint is that the height combined with the narrowness has led to a couple close calls with a toddler grabbing the edge of the table. It could be more stable, but given the width, I'm not sure what more you could do.
