The night stand is solid carved wood construction. The top was a little smaller than I expected, but it is true to the advertised dimensions. It looks great in our bedroom.

With the exception of a small scratch on the top of one of two night stands I recently purchased, the items were flawless, well made and definitely worth every penny.
