This nightstand appeared to be exactly what I was looking for. However, it is so poorly made that the top drawer fell down onto the bottom drawer during shipping, causing nails to scratch the wood. Drawers are on a central wooden runner which was not screwed down, plus the horizontal support for the upper drawer had split where it was screwed onto the frame. I'm definitely returning it.
