The qulity of the Utopia is better than expected, much more sturdy. The look is elegant. Only drawback is that the two shades do not seem to be exactly parallel to one another (but only from certain angles).

I have a large cavernous space that is my kitchen and family room area. The only lighting that was put in are multiple pot lights in a 10' ceilings. Two of these pendants hang over a 10' x 5' black granite island in the kitchen. I have white cabinets. They look so great that people almost don't notice that they are new. It is like they always should have been there because they complete the room. We had to get a couple of those ceiling medalians and spray paint them with black satin paint to cover the pot hole openings, but it looks great. Make sure you get all of the parts out of the box and actually read the directions. It is not hard, but my husband didn't realize that there were glass bottoms for the lights and almost threw them out with the box ! I had looked at all of the lighting stores. You can't get anything like this. Lighting Universe has the best selection and you get a professional look for a decent price. I bought these on a 10% off sale, so that made them even better.
