We orderd two bookshelves, this one and one like it without the baskets. Putting them together wasn't difficult though the backing is very cheap and warped after sitting out overnight. We ended up not using the backing at all and hope it won't affect the sturdiness of the bookcases. They are all wood, as claimed, though the backing is pretty thin. Still, at this price, a nice looking piece of furniture. I've only had them set up for a couple of days and have yet to put the books and toys on them, but they just fit in my living room without taking up too much visual space.

The parts weren't labeled A, B, etc. That would have helped alot. I would have liked directions in words besides the pictures. Otherwise I got it done in an hour. My only complaint is there were a couple of small scratches which I rubbed out. Baskets are lighter than the picture. Overall I am happy with it.
